QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The box with rounded sides rising from a short splayed foot ring, the cover carved in low relief with a stylised Shou medallion enclosed by five bats in flight, above linghzi, narcissus, bamboo and fruiting peach branches to the sides, the stone of even pale celadon tone with russet inclusions and russet colouring to the surface

Compare also a large circular box and cover of similar size, carved with five bats surrounding a Shou character from the Mme.
