Lot Essay

Imperial glass bowls of this shape are quite rare. Compare with a yellow glass bowl with slightly steeper sides, incised with a similar mark in the Palace Museum Beijing, illustrated by Zhang Rong (ed.), Luster of Autumn Water, Glass of the Qing Imperial Workshop, Forbidden City Publishing House, 2004, no. 10.
