DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
Finely enamelled on the globular body with four large Indian lotus blooms, each with a stylised Shou medallion at the centre, below four pairs of bats in flight suspending beribboned Wan symbols from their mouths, against a network of floral scrolls on a turquoise-ground, the tapering neck flanked with a pair of ruyi-form handles in iron-red and gilt, the flared mouth rim similarly decorated with an iron-red band, further decorated with a band of classic scroll, supported on a slightly splayed foot
