The rectangular dentil cornice above six graduated drawers and a hinged secretaire drawer enclosing pigeon holes and ten drawers on shaped bracket feet, with paper depository label inscribed 'E MCCONNELL'

Lot Essay

This form of secretaire-tallboy in one section and with a drawer front which falls down like French secretaire à abattants is typically Irish. A similar example is illustrated in The Knight of Glin and James Peill, Irish Furniture, 2007, p.235, fig.206.
