QIANLONG SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
With rounded sides flaring widely to a slightly everted rim, the center of the interior painted in underglaze blue with a large flower head surrounded by four lotus blossoms borne on leafy, conjoined tendrils, repeated as a frieze on the exterior, all within double line borders and reserved on a lemon-yellow ground that also covers the base around the nianhao

A Yongzheng-marked yellow-ground dish of this design, of slightly smaller size (23.3 cm. diam.), from the T.Y. Chao Private and Family Trust Collections, was sold at Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 18 November 1986, lot 114.
