Lot Essay

PUBLISHED:
H. Jucker, "Zwei Hellenistische Isisköpfe aus Ägypten", Alessandria e il Mondo Ellenistico-Romano, Rome, 1983, pp.185-189.
This head is typical of the Alexandrian style and would have been finished in stucco.
Hans Jucker suggests that this might be from the same workshop as lot 117.
