Brightly enamelled around the bulbous body with two cartouches to either side, one enclosing birds perched on gnarled blossoming prunus branches amidst peony bushes, the other with lotus growing from a pond with birds and insects in mid flight, all reserved on a densely decorated ground with scrolling lotus, the foot and mouth rim with key-frets reserved in blue enamel, the cover similarly decorated
