A FINE LARGE CARVED 'LOTUS SPRAY' LONGQUAN CELADON CHARGER
YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
Carved in the centre with a spray of two lotus flowers amidst foliage within double circles, the cavetto moulded with further lotus blooms borne on an undulating vine, bordered by classic scrolls on the broad mouth rim, the reverse side moulded with bladed petals surrounding the low ring foot, covered with an olive-green celadon glaze with exception of an unglazed circle burnt orange in the firing
