Original blind-stamped morocco, edges gilt (some rubbing, upper cover of volume 2 with stain, hinges starting). Provenance: Mrs. Matthew L. Akers (bookplate of the J. B. Speed Art Museum, Louisville, Kentucky, recording the gift of Mrs. Akers, 1941); J. B. Speed Art Museum, Louisville, Kentucky (white manuscript shelf marks on spines, penciled shelf numbers on verso of title).
