painted to the centre with a loose spray of flowers, the border reserved with three oval panels painted en grissaile with putti on a plae blue ground between loose sprigs above gilt laurels within a shaped rim gilt with scrolls, blue crossed swords and dot mark -- 9 1/8in. (23.2cm.) diam., circa 1765 (chip to rim, wear); and a plate painted with figures within a pierced rim
