A CASED PAIR OF 40-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK PISTOLS

With rebrowned twist sighted barrels each engraved with a band of beadwork at the breech and respectively signed 'WOGDON' and 'LONDON' on the top flats towards the breech, scroll engraved grooved tangs each fitted with a standing rear-sight, flat bevelled bolted locks each signed 'WOGDON' (some expert restoration to cocks), figured half-stocks each with swelling flat-sided butt, engraved trigger-guards each with acorn finial, the fore-ends each with engraved screw retaining the barrels, faceted single ramrod-pipe, and ramrods, one with worm and brass powder-measure, the other later with a horn tip, London proof marks and barrelsmith's marks of Robert Wogdon, in associated relined and refitted mahogany case with some accessories including pistol-flask and bullet-mould, the exterior with brass carrying handle
