With tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, tapering ricasso cut with decorative borders and stamped with a maker's mark and the arms of Bavaria in a shield on the reverse, iron hilt with flat spatulate quillons, outer ring-guard swelling in the centre and filled with a pierced plate, swelling inner guard with thumb-ring, tapering leather-covered grip, and rectangular cushion-shaped pommel with incised border
