With rebrowned twist sighted octagonal barrels, patent breeches each with single platinum-inlaid line, platinum-lined touch-hole and platinum-lined maker's stamp 'THOS. ALLPORT', engraved tangs each incorporating the standing rear-sight, engraved flat bevelled locks each signed 'T. ALLPORT' and with stepped tail, roller and semi-rainproof pan, figured walnut half-stocks (minor defects) each with chequered butt, horn fore-end caps, reblued engraved iron mounts, silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, and silver escutcheon to the base of each pommel, and later horn-tipped ramrods (some discolouration and shallow pitting to iron parts), Birmingham proof marks
