Probably South-German, In 17th century style, second half 19th century
The embossed lid surmounted by a carved battle scene with prancing horse above the oval section tusk body decorated with the depiction of possibly the Battle of Zama with soldiers, cavalery and elephants in front of the city of Carthage, the C-scrolled handle with soldier in armor, on embossed oval base
