Vase shape on triform base applied with three kneeling Rifle Volunteers, the cover with finial in the form of a plumed helmet as worn by some Yeomanry and Light Horse regiments, acanthus leaf rim, gilt interior, either side with inscribed oval panels, one Challenge Cup presented by the ladies to the First Surrey Rifles 1861, the other with list of winners 1861-67 with their respective company numbers
