This model follows the same design as a steel dog-grate acquired in 1911 by the Victoria & Albert Museum (museum no. M492) (see A.Kelly. 'The Book of English Fireplaces', 1968, fig.75) attributed to the Smithfield metalworker Henry Jackson.
