The crossbanded plank top inlaid with quatrefoils on end supports with pierced spandrels, the top possibly reduced in length

The design of this table, particularly the inlay, is typical of the designs of Charles Bevan (d.1882), and often produced by the cabinet makers Marsh and Jones; for a related group of furniture see Christopher Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall, Bradford and London, 1978, vol.
