MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
Shown seated atop a recumbent caparisoned elephant, with right hand resting on the raised right knee, and the left braced supportively beside the left leg, wearing loosely draped robes left open at the chest spanned by jeweled necklaces, the face with a contemplative expression below an ornate diadem hung with pendent ribbons trailing down the shoulders, all upon a rectangular lotus base
