The flattened body carved in low relief on two sides with a large taotie mask flanked by archaistic scrolling dragons above a wide band of pendent triangular lappets, the neck carved with similar lappets and ruyi-form clouds between a pair of pierced archaistic dragon-form handles; the cover with large round finial between a pair of archaistic dragon-form handles suspending rings
13 1/8 in. (33.3 cm.) high, stand and box

Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1950s, and thence by descent within the family.
