The first carved as a double vase with a hollowed bamboo shoot adjacent to a flattened baluster vase carved on the front with a peacock standing on one leg looking back at a chilong ascending billowing clouds to the neck which is carved with pendent lappets and flanked by a pair of animal mask and loose ring handles, the reverse carved with a large taotie mask, the domed cover carved with two pierced bosses, the stone of translucent tone with some areas of emerald-green color; the second vase carved as two large finger citrons borne atop a network of leafy branches carved in openwork, the stone of mottled green and white color with some darker green inclusions
