A MUGHAL-STYLE WHITE JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
Very thinly carved, the compressed bulbous body raised on three hollow cabriole legs surmounted by open work chrysanthemum blossoms, the sides carved in low relief with two scenes, one depicting a female immortal leading a young boy, the other depicting Guanyin accompanied by an acolyte, all surrounded by chrysanthemum scroll interrupted by the pair of handles formed by elaborate chrysanthemum stems suspending loose rings carved in openwork with two facing rows of chrysanthemum petals, the domed cover carved en suite with chrysanthemum sprays separating four characters, qi lou xian pei, in shaped reserves below a chrysanthemum-form finial, the thin, translucent body of even white color
