A FINELY CARVED MOTTLED WHITE AND GREEN JADEITE HANGING VASE
Finely carved as a hollow hanging basket suspended by linked chains from a slender openwork yoke, the deep rounded sides finely carved and undercut on one side with flowering and fruiting leafy branches spilling over the edge of the flat, broad rim carved on the underside with a pair of flower-stem loop handles suspending loose rings, the center of the rim with a circular opening fitted with a cover surmounted by an openwork arrangement of long-stemmed lotus plants and grasses admist which can be seen two herons and a small frog, the highly polished, translucent stone of pale lavender-white color with areas of bright green and pale brown color
10¼ in. (25.6 cm.) high with chain, two silver wire-inlaid wood stands
