A RARE SET OF FIVE SILVER-LINED LACQUER PRUNUS-SHAPED CUPS
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Each molded with five lobes in imitation of a plum blossom, the exterior covered in bean-red lacquer applied with flowering prunus branches, one a continuation of the gnarled branch-form handle, the other pendent from the edge of the silver rim which is folded over from the silver-sheet interior, the base also covered in thin silver sheet
