Shown seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with hands in dhyana mudra and holding an elixir bottle, wearing an elaborate jeweled necklace above a loosely tied dhoti, the hair pulled up into a tall topknot behind the seven-point crown and falling in long segments down the sides of the shoulders, the body and clothing gilded

A similar famille rose figure of a bodhisattva, also dated to the Qianlong/Jiaqing period, was sold in these rooms, 16-17 September 2010, lot 1494.
