Each with rounded sides decorated on the exterior with eight leafy flower stems, the base with an eight-character mark reading Xuantong gengxu Yichuntang zhi

Lot Essay

The eight-character mark on the base of the present bowls may be translated, 'Made in the gengxu year of the reign of Xuantong for the Hall of Pleasant Spring.'
