District Railway 4-4-0 Beyer & Peacock Condensing Side Tank Locomotive No. 27, 5in. gauge, well engineered by D.H. Sutcliffe with silver soldered superheated copper boiler stamped NI-80-102 with fittings including water and pressure gauges, salter safety, blower, injector, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Allen straight link gear, double bar type crosshead guides, footplate controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, twin eccentric driven pumps and by-pass, injector, hand operated brake gear with wooden brake blocks, tanks with gauge glasses, sanding gear, tank balance pipes, condensor pipes and valves, working leaf springs, axle box lubricator boxes and pipes, riveting and other details. Finished in D.R. green livery and lining with route boards for Mansion House/Windsor and Whitechapel/Baker Street -- 14 x 33in. (35.5 x 83.8cm.). Boiler certificate valid to 4.3.1997
