MARKED OVCHINNIKOV, TULA, LATE 19TH CENTURY
Rectangular, on four ball feet, the sides and hinged cover applied with rosettes and gilt foliate motifs, the front panel with lock aperture, with raised center and cornerpieces similarly decorated, the interior velvet-lined, the cover fitted with a mirror and signed in Cyrillic 'Ovchinnikov in Tula,' apparently unmarked
