Lot Essay

While Caldwell was revered for the innovation of their designs and superior quality of their bronze works, the firm would frequently mount exotic jades, pottery and other decorative objects acquired abroad by Caldwell's partner, Victor von Lossberg. This group of table lamps, including an example of the firm's Renaissance revival enamel-work, is an excellent compilation of the firm's varied offerings between 1915 and 1925.
