Lot Essay

A star tile with an almost identical decoration is in the Museum of Islamic Art, Berlin (Inv. Nr. I.3873, https://depts.washington.edu/silkroad/museums/mik/miktiles.html). Another tile with almost identical, though more clearly painted design was sold at Sotheby's, 12 October 2000, lot 129.
