A FAMILLE ROSE BASIN
JIAQING PERIOD (1796-1820)
The interior is finely enamelled with two female attendants overlooking two sages in the distance, all beneath wispy clouds. The cavetto is decorated with four quatrefoil cartouches enclosing landscapes, all reserved on a deep pink sgrafiatto ground and interspersed with lotus scrolls. The wide rim is enamelled with clouds and descending bats, and the exterior has five further iron-red descending bats.
14½ in. (37 cm.) diam.
