A WUCAI OVOID JAR AND A WUCAI BEAKER VASE

The vase is decorated to the raised central band with linghzi fungus on scrolling foliate stems below continuous decoration depicting an official standing by his chariot and attendants addressing a man on bended knee holding a tethered buffalo in a rocky mountainous landscape, a band of pendant lappets encircles the base; the jar is decorated all over with an official acompanied by attendants in a garden setting addressing a young man pointing to the roof of a pavilion appearing through clouds, the reverse is decorated with rocks and a broad vertical band of stylised clouds.
