The bowl is brightly enamelled to the exterior with pendant Buddhist motifs suspended above a lime-green band of lotus flowers issuing from scrolling foliate stems, the four-character mark on the base translates 'Hall of the Cultivation of Virtue', Shen de tang zhi.
6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) diam.
