The octagonal box and cover decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi-e, hirame and nashiji with dew-covered leaves, the dewdrops inlaid in silver against a ground of swirling water, the lid opening to reveal a fitted inner tray decorated with leaves on water on a nashiji ground, pewter rims
