LATE MING/EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The cylindrical brush pot is colourfully painted in tones of red, green, aubergine, yellow, turquoise and underglaze blue, depicting a landscape with the eighteen Luohans engaging in various activities. The base is inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark within double circles.
