XUANTONG SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1908-1911)
The interior is painted in rich purplish-blue with a pair of stylised phoenixes with wings extended each holding a small sprig in their beaks. The exterior is similarly decorated with a pair of phoenixes in mutual pursuit.
