A LONGQUAN CELADON 'TWIN FISH' DISH
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The dish is potted with deep lobed sides incised with upright lotus petals on the exterior, rising to a flat everted rim. On the interior is a pair of sprig-moulded fish detailed with fins and scales within a circle. The dish is covered overall with a pale translucent celadon glaze except the unglazed foot rim.
