Pierson, Designs as Signs: Decoration and Chinese Ceramics, London, 2001, p. 19, where a Longquan dish of this type from the Percival David Foundation is illustrated, op. cit., no. 11. Other similar Longquan moulded fish dishes were recovered from the cargo of a trading vessel that sank off the coast of Sinan, Korea, in the 1320s, see Relics Salvaged from the Seabed off Sinan, Seoul, 1985, pl. 1, no. 13a, b.
