JOHN DOVE AND MOLLY WHITE Artists John Dove and Molly White started the label Wonder Workshops in 1971. Lou Reed, Mick Jagger, Marc Bolan and Paul McCartney were photographed in their state of the art shirts and their hand-printed designs had a major influence on T-shirt graphics. Recently, they have published their archive of T-shirt prints on handmade rag paper, made from recycled T-shirts. Lots 146-152 are from this series.

The Bowie 'Face' was part of a set of three 'Face' T-shirts made for the opening of Kitsch-22 at 22 Woodstock Street London in November 1976. The face was photographed and adapted from Bowie's Aladdin Sane album cover, shot by Brian Duffy.
