TWO WHITE JADE PENDANTS

The first pendant is bordered on both sides with archaistic designs, finely carved in low relief on one side with Mi Fu resting on a large rock, accompanied by an attendant, and on the reverse with an inscription referring to Mi Fu's infatuation with the stone, and signed Wen Zhen. The second pendant is carved on one side with a lady seated in a riverside pavilion beneath a crescent moon, with stylized clouds at top, and with a poetic inscription on the reverse describing the scene followed by two seals, wen wan (play thing).
2 1/8 and 2 3/16 in. (5.4 and 5.6 cm.) long, 18K and 14K gold mounts respectively (2)
