A LONGQUAN CELADON GUAN-TYPE DISH
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The dish has shallow, rounded sides that flare widely from the tapered foot ring to the gently everted rim, and is covered overall in a widely crackled, translucent glaze of pale blue-green color, which also covers the interior of the foot and base.
