Each vase has a petal-lobed body that flares towards the rim and the foot and is carved in the center in mirror image with quatrefoil panels of a landscape scene on one side and a prunus branch and bamboo on the reverse. A pair of animal mask and ring handles are applied on the shoulders. The exterior and the base, which is carved with a seal, Wang Bingrong zuo, are covered in pale blue enamel, and the interior is covered in turquoise enamel.
