With swamped octagonal barrel rifled with seven grooves, gold fore-sight, applied pierced gold crest (ROYAL CREST??), border and scroll engraved breech, tang and flat lock, the latter signed in gold, figured walnut full stock carved with a band of foliage along the spine of the grip and with a shaped chequered panel on each side, adjustable set trigger, finely engraved iron mounts including side-nail escutcheons each engraved with a mythical monster, engraved white metal barrel-bolt escutcheons, and hardwood fore-end cap (cracked, set trigger at fault, ramrod missing, half-cock at fault)
