A CASED IRISH 80-BORE TURN-OVER BOXLOCK PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL

With turn-off barrels each engraved with a band at the muzzle, border and scroll engraved breeches and signed triple-bent action, folding trigger, chequered figured walnut butt with small silver butt-cap, and silver escutcheon engraved with the initials 'MW', in original fitted mahogany case lined with green baize with fine Dixon brass-mounted copper three-way pistol-flask and original combined barrel-key nipple-wrench, the exterior with shaped brass escutcheon (some discolouration to pistol, one action screw replaced, key escutcheon missing from case)

Back notes that although 9792 and 9793 were made as a pair they were subsequently sold separately, 9792 to Winter and 9793 to A. Ormsby at a cost of £5. 5. 0. each. The initials 'MW' on the escutcheon relate to the original purchaser, the vendor's great, great grand father.
