Lot Essay

"In the stairwell in the house of Rietveld at Vredenburg was a toilet which could be closed with a door, a shower which could be closed by a curtain and a sink in the open area. The cupboard here on offer was hanging between the sink and the wall seperating the livingroom from the stairwell. The cupboard here on offer was hung in the toilet compartment. It was painted pink. Later I painted it in blue. It has the elongated shape because it had to fit between the mirror above the sink and the wall."
