Arabic manuscript on paper, 175ff. plus three fly-leaves, each folio with 11ll. of black naskh script, some words in gold, verse markers with various gold and polychrome illuminated rosettes, headings in white thuluth script on gold ground within gold and polychrome illuminated cartouches, text within thick black-ruled two-colour gold frame, opening bifolio with two finely illuminated headings, with two further finely illuminated headpieces throughout, including two hiliyes on gold ground, a depiction of Mecca and Medina on gold ground, names of the Prophet within gold illuminated lattice, two bifolios with gold floral illumination, the names of the Prophet's companions in gold illuminated lattice, colophon of Dala'il al-Khayrat signed and dated, with gilt red doublures, in gilt and stamped red and brown morocco binding, binding repaired, some weakness along the spine, otherwise in very good condition, with associated slip case
