The first with watered-steel faceted rifled barrel, the muzzle and barrel with gold-damascened decoration, the barrel tang with a gold-damascened inscription reading Sahib Dawud (?) Agha Zadah 'Ali , with maker's mark, the stock inlaid with silver scrolling motifs, the butt of ivory, the silver mounts with tughras of probably Sultan Mahmud II (r. 1808-39 AD), the second with smooth bore barrel, the barrel bands, tang and lock decoration with gold-damascened foliated scrolls and geometric forms, the fore-stock, stock and butt with inlaid mother-of-pearl motifs and brass and horn studs
