A summary by Ibn al-Matran of an earlier work by Hunayn bin Ishaq (d. 873 AD), on medicine, 26ff. plus three fly-leaves, each of the first 20 folios with 15ll. of black naskh script, some words picked out in red, with red comma-shaped markers, text within double red rules, some marginal notes, catchwords, followed by tables in red and black ink, one folio with gold and polychrome rosette markers, final folio with "carpet" illumination in gold on green and red ground with calligraphic inscriptions giving popular wisdom sayings, two colophons giving the dates of 1 Safar AH 958 equivalent to 8 Ashbat 1551 AD and 13 Ashbat 1551 AD, and the name of Ilyas bin Hibatillah Ibn Barakat al-Iskandarni, and stating that this was copied in Iliya (Aelia - Jerusalem), in stamped morocco binding
