Poetry, Persian manuscript on gold-speckled paper, 116ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of black nasta'liq script, some text arranged in two columns with black-ruled divisions, some words picked out in gold or blue, text within blue and black-ruled gold and green frame, some folios with gold floral sprays within the text, catchwords, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece with text in clouds on gold ground with black floral illumination, with silhouette margins outlined in gold, colophon signed and with added date of AH 870, some marginal notes throughout, in brown morocco binding, areas of staining
