Charles-Louis Méreaud (ca. 1735-1780) is first recorded at Sèvres in 1756, where he specialized in painting flowers and friezes, the latter being described in the manufactory records as 'frises colorées'. See R. Savill, The Wallace Collection Catalogue of Sèvres Porcelain, Vol. III, 1988, pp. 1047-1048, for additional information on this artist.
