A LARGE FINELY CARVED PALE CELADON JADE BOULDER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The boulder is of large pebble shape, finely carved to one side with a scholar accompanied by an attendant. They are depicted walking on a narrow rocky path towards a potted narcissus plant, surrounded by wutong trees and beneath stylised vaporous clouds that wrap around the reverse. The stone is of an even pale tone with attractive russet areas.
